I’m headed to Cape May Spring Birding Festival in Cape May, New Jersey to present not one but TWO presentations! “Shopping is for the Birds: How you can grocery shop to benefit bird conservation,” on Friday night, May 16, 2025, and a round table with Orietta Estrada and Georgia Silvera Seamans on the topic “Bird Like a Mother: How caregivers navigate a birding practice in today’s birding culture,” Saturday afternoon, May 17, 2025.

Join me as I share the origin story of the Be Bird Wise initiative in Washington’s agricultural Skagit Valley. Be Bird Wise is an educational media campaign speaking to recreational visitors to the region, drawn by the presence and abundance of migratory birds.

My lecture is the kick off to the 2024/2025 monthly speaker season for Skagit Audubon Society. It is a live event that will not be recorded.
